What is RSS? It actually stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” RSS feed is a simple way for information to come to you rather than you having to search for the information.RSS feed brings updates to your computer automatically. All you need to do is subscribe.  The author provides four simple steps to creating your own RSS feed:

1. Create your own XML File

2. Use software or a service to create your feed

3. Use a CMS to serve as your feed

4. Create a blog…this will serve as your feed

I was still a little confused about RSS feeds and their direct coloration to blogs after reading Chapter 3 in A Survival Guide to Social Media & Web 2.0 Optimization by Deltina Hay.  So, I did what any good college student would do. I went to YouTube!  This video, along with this chapter made RSS a lot more understandable.
